I recently put new tires on my 1996 18 HP MTD 600 series rider and had a problem getting the right rear rim to separate from the axle. The whole rim and axle came out together. THey would not separate, so I changed the rubber and put it back on. Well it runs great BUT every once in awhile the axle slips out a coulpe inches and the mower stops moving. Is there a clip or something in the rear end that I need to fix to keep the axle from slipping out?
