check simple things first. loose belt, idler bearing starting to seize when hot, trash/debris on top of hydro case, damaged hydro cooling fan. Always operate tractor with engine at full RPM for best hydro cooling.
If nothing, check your unit's owner manual to see if hydro is "serviceable" (oil chk/change, filter, etc).
Many current hydros are factory sealed and relatively difficult to add/change oil.... but some can be serviced anyway by a good shadetree mechanic.
