Joe is right on in his diagnosis in my opinion, and I can't emphasize enough how IMPORTANT it is to check the oil for overfull, and/or a gasoline smell. If gas has trickled through your carb into the oil, it needs to be changed with fresh oil. Gasoline is a terrible lubricant, even if mixed with oil.
