I have a john deere 212 riding mower.a new problem has occured.as i try to mow over the grass that i have always mowed. the belt that comes from the pulley on the crankshaft and goes down to the mowing deck pulley, seems to be slowing down.so much that the blades nearly stop spinning.so i replaced the belt. bought a new spring tensioner for it, and still no good.this mower has a kohler engine witha horz. crankshaft.it has two pullies attached to it.one belt goes to the trans in the rear.and the other belt goes to the pulley on the mowing deck.the trans runs fine ,even when the mowing deck belt is apparenty slipping or slowing down.my question is.is there some kind of a clutch inside this pulley that might be wearing out? because these pullies are more than just a pulley on a shaft sticking out of the motor.
