from your post, first thought woulda been gas tank cap vent blocked - but you say it ck'd OK. Next item that would wait 15 minutes to start crapping out like that would be a engine coil after it gets heat soaked... when the engine dies again, quick ck it for the plug getting a spark - no spark, coil bad - replace.
Also, have you pulled the engine's shroud to clean the cooling fins, etc. ?
