Try replaceing battery,if battery has 1 or more weak/bad cells it will DRINK most of the charging current from alt,when you engage elect clutch,alt on eng probably can't put out enough current to charge a bad battery & power clutch,the cv22 eng has a gas shutoff sol on carb bowl,as voltage drops on battery with clutch on sol is probably dropping out,shutting off gas to main jet in carb,when you shut off mower,voltage at battery rises,sol re-energizes & allows gas into main jet of carb
