Thanks for the advise Joe, I don't have an engine diagram for this model, but will check what I can. If the problem isn't obvious and easy to fix myself, I'll probably end up paying $30.00 for an estimate at the local repair shop.
By-the-way, I saw a Murray GT 18hp garden tractor for sale $850.00 Cdn. Looks like new and very well maintained. I'm very tempted to buy it instead of waisting repair money. What do you think? Here's a link: http://www.usedottawa.com/classified-ad/9231143
