Kohler mag 18 no spark

have a kohler magnum 18s. has no spark. sometimes will spark after turning the electric clutch to on position and then turning the key on and off making the clicking sound of the electric clutch , but now that does not even work. Could it be the coil , rectifirer? I jumped the electric clutch switch out and it still won't start. I don't know of any other safety switches on the tractor. It is a Lawnboy GT18 1987. any Idea's on what else I could try?
