Sounds as iof you are headed in the right direction - clutch/brake sw , seat sw...elect PTO sw if so equipped.Any one of them can interrupt your starting circuit.
M/W, you can first do one other simple thing (if you haven't already) - THOROUGHLY clean all electrical connections in the batt to starter circuit. Example: A corroded ground wire to frame connection can give one fits.
