John Deere 70 series/or where do I put these white and black wires?

recently rebuilt a Techumseh 7 hp motor for a John Deere 70 series rider, since the rebuild I have a white wire and a black wire that I can't remember where they go, hanging on the side of the starter, also the engine has no spark at all...any suggestions?
