model of tractor is 502.255020
Its a murray i think. Transaxle number stamped in case is 3975 spicer
acording to sears the trans part number is 4450-1
One of the tabs that locks the trans in gear is broken. its hard to describe. it is some sort of throwout bearing with two prongs that ride in a slot and lock into the different gears depending on where the shifter is. one of the tangs is broken
