You can do it. You'll have to plow every couple of hrs during heavy snow fall. If you get heavy wet snow you may have a problem. The craftsmman tractors are not very strong tractors to start with. Nor is Yardman, Murry and half a dozen others. Another problem is parts availllability 4-5 yrs down the road. You would be better off with a blower. It's easyer on the tractor. You might be better off withan old beater 4x4 and a used plow if money is a concern. If not I'd look at the utility tractors. They are strong enough to handle anything a home owner with a large yard could ask. If you really want to know about the cheaper tractors, go to your local small engine shop and talk to them.
