I have a small John Deere Tractor with a 42" snow blade. John Deere in there infinite wisdom has set the plow up with a pull-the-pin and turn-the-blade type angle system.... That's not gonna work for me....!!! I want to add an automatic angle mechanism and was thinkin' of using a short trailer "A" frame jack that was attached to the blade. The jack would run from the blade along the mounting plate parallel to the ground in a front to back direction. For turning, I was thinking of taking the crank off and attaching a 12V reversible motor. I would use a rocker switch to reverse the polarity and subsequently push or pull the blade in and out. Does anyone have a better idea and/or know of a very short "A" frame jack that is less than 12" overall when retracted?
