There's no actual polarity on a fuel line, it's just a tube. Some fuel filters have a direction. My old Ford van stalled when very hot, with a vapor lock. If I undid the fuel line, let a few drops piss out, and re-installed the line, it'd go. The answer, for that too hot running, mega-mile beast, was a metal braided fuel line cover, like for a race car, which kept that line cooler. Never stalled again.
