I have the same mower.
Go to sears parts . com and learn hoe to remove the mower deck. It is easier than you think. Flip it over and scrape it clean. I promise this will help your uneven cut. When you put the deck back on there are afew adjustment bolts on both sides of the deck. Keep the mower on a level surface and adjust it accordingly. As far as it not going forward or backwards. My guess is that its the belt. Lift up the seat. Remove the battery, remove the battery box and you will see a belt that should be around a pully. Make sure it is around it. Ifg this is not your problem than you probably have a transaxel problem. In which case you might as well sell your mower for parts. You can have it fixed, but will most likly cost you a few hundred less than a new mower. Hope this info helps!
