i like JD tractors because i used to be a JD tractor mechanic and i have owned JD products for many years and have had very good luck with them. as far as your comment that they are junk, i say that nothing made nowadays is as good as just 10 or 20 years ago. it's the way things are built and no one has control over that. just maintain your JD machine, and don't abuse it and that is about the best a person can do. complaining about the quality of JD or any other product will not solve any problems. if you don't like JD, then by all means you are free to buy some other brand. good luck in your search for perfection.
