I have a JD L130 which has a hyro transmission. It works OK but I was wondering if there is any way to check the oil level in these units and add if necessary. I understand that they take 10W-30 oil. I noticed a recessed plug on one side but I am afraid to open it and lose oil. The tractor would then have to be tilted over to one side to refill it without removing the whole trans. Thanks.
