After a couple of hours of trouble shooting by putting in a bi-pass switch to test the electric pto clutch. I thought the clutch was fine. Thats a good thing $150.00 to almost 200.00 just for the part! Anyway I checked the complete wire harness found no bare wires. I gave up and took to a service tech. Once I committed to leaving my tractor the tech said his best guess with out digging into to it was a in-line (in the wire harness) a diode that is more than likely bad that causes the switch to burn out. I would of be nice if he had told this tidbit before I had laid out $24.95 for a switch that I toasted in less than a 1/2 hour. Anyway thought I would pass this on to the next guy thats in the same boat as I was. Anybody ever hear of this diode thing in the harness and if so where is it? Thanks
