Just replaced the electric pto switch $24.95 it lasted about a 1/2 hour and quit working burned (shorted out). The switch engaged and dis-engaged the clutch about 8 times with no problems.
Well I take that back I did notice the gauge dis- charging the battery when the pto was engaged. I thought it was because the battery was low. I jump started the mower to get it going. The switch melted right off. The first switch I thought broke off but after closer inspection it also melted off. The second switch it was very easy to see it had melted and broke. Like I said the tractor mows fine but I have this issue with the switch. Any thoughts and information would be very Much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your reply.
