If your going to plow snow or pull a heavy cart get a gear trans not a hydro,try to buy a Garden tractor not a lawn tractor,At Sears ask about extended warranty, for Durability I find Older J.D. the best.I think all craftsman and Husqvarna are built buy AYP American Yard Products .
