I'm really confused since starting to look for a tractor to mow about 2.5 acres of grass and pull a heavy cart; maybe plow snow in the future...
I don't want to spend my $2500-$3000 budget on a piece of junk and have alot of headaches. It sounds like the box store models will give me just that, poor quality, poor service and migraines. I am not a mechanic, but can certainly do basic maintenance. I've looked at Sears larger models and recently found out they built by Husqvarna. Are all Husqvarna's the same though? In looking at the Husqvarna web site, they are touting the LS series as their mainstream garden/lawn tractor line. Is Sears just reselling the LS series? I am looking to buy a 26-27 hp with 54" deck class machine.
Any recommendations for this type of tractor? As I research this purchase, it just seems alot of frustrated and angry people out there who've bought from Home Depot, Lowes and Sears. I am especially leary of Sears due to the decaying service I've experienced on home appliances. It seems that the better Cub Cadets and JD series are beyond my budget.
Any advice or experiences appreciated.
