917 means it was made by AYP. You might have better luck if you found an equivalent AYP model and looked for that manual instead.
Here's one plance find owners manuals on line (but you will need to know which AYP tractor it's close to.) Doesn't give the whole manual, just a parts breakdown, but that might be enough.

Cross ref by engine size and make, size of deck, type of transmission (no gears fwd and reverse, or hydro, etc.)
Here's an example of an AYP model number:
RKGT20H46A
RK = Ranch King
GT = Garden Tractor
20 = 20 horsepower
H = Hydro
46 = 46" deck
A = probably a special feature
As most of the AYP decks mount the same, you could try looking it one up and see if you have the same type of mounting (sounded simular).
