Will this machine have any other duties like snow removal? tilling a garden? airation of the yard? pulling a cart full of firewood or stones? If yes to any of the above, I'd go with the tractor. Has your mom ever operated a zero turn mower? There is a learning curve to operating these, will she be comfortable steering by 2 leverS vs. the more conventional steering wheel on a tractor? Which machine will she be able to get on and off of easier?
