Hello,
I have a JD 316 that does not have good control of ground speed either forward or reverse. I have sort of good control at very low ground speed, but as you move the lever forward or reverse the tractor jumps from a slow controlled speed to full ground speed in what ever direction the lever is moved.
This is a really pain this time of year, with snowblowing; does anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, ideas on what could be going on.
Things I have done so far:
1. Changed fluid and filter (JD Hygard fluid)
2. checked linkages for loosened parts, none found
3. Pull the two check valves on top of charge pump, flushed throughly, reinstalled, nothing
HELP...
