Have someone sit on tractor & crank eng with clutch/brake pedal locked down, trans in netural, mower disengaged or pto sw in off position, while their cranking check for spark at plug(s),if no spark check seat safety sw,check that sw is tight in mount & seat hitting plunger on sw,if you have spark I would suspect you have dirt in carb or possibly a bad fuel pump,if seat sw ok & you only have limited knowledge of tractor & eng I would recommend you have local mower shop or sears look at as you may injure yourself or do damage to tractor shooting in the dark to find cause of problem.
