I have already changed the fuel filter. I will check the carburator tomorrow. Yes I can hear the fuel pump click when I turn the key on. The mower also puts out a little white smoke when I restart it. As I mentioned before I usually have to choke it when I am restarting it. This could be flooding. One thing that puzzles me is if I pull it back into neutral before it dies it will catch up and continue to run most of the time. This almost makes me think it is a switch somewhere.
