It sounds like the carb may not be getting a constant supply of fuel or the fuel flow is insufficient when the engine is cold. Try loosening the drain screw on the carb to see if the fuel bowl is full after the engine stalls. Also a partially clogged fuel filter may be the problem. Does your fuel pump click, indicating that it is pushing fuel? I believe the pump is supposed to push between 1 and 2.1 psi.
