I know this has probably been asked numerous times but I am looking for a lawn tractor to be used on 1 acre (of grass) on uneven and relatively rough terrain. I also intend to use the tractor to pull downed trees and lumber (in a cart) from my surrounding woods.
I have been looking at quasi-garden tractors because of their stiffer frames and higher hp (for the hills). I have narrowed the search to the following:
1. Scotts S2048 (48" cut, 20 hp garden tractor, Kohler Command motor, auto tranny);
2. Sears DLT2000 (48" cut, 20 hp lawn tractor, Kohler Pro motor, auto tranny); and
3. Yardman H804 (46" cut, 20 hp garden tractor, Briggs Intek V-Twin, auto tranny).
These seem to combine the durability, reliability and features I was looking for at a price under $2500. I could use any feedback on the above and any other suggestions that you may have in the price-range stated above!
Thanks in advance.
