I have a Craftsman 917.256610 riding mower with 15.5 Kohler engine, hydrostatic transmission, and a 46" deck. I need to replace the drive belt and I can't get the old one off. I have it disconnected from all of the idler pulleys. It is now attached to the pulley above the electric clutch on the engine drive shaft and the transmission input pulley but it is not loose enough to remove. The manual says to remove the "clutch locator" but this part is not listed. I removed the "Bracket Asm. Mtg. CL" and the belt won't come off. Do I need to remove the electric clutch? Thanks for any help.
