I have a Yard Machine, exactly what you have described. The same thing happened to me a year ago. I purchased a new battery as it seemed the battery was dead or partially so.. After a charge it would start and I could mow... Then after a period of inactivity I'd have to do it over again so I could mow the lawn.. Making a long story short I had to replace the starter,as it was drawing too much current... This has been my experience with my mower and it has worked fine ever since I changed the starter....My mower is identical to the one you described in your post.. Good luck
