I purchased a new 17.5 HP briggs & stratton powered mower. After about 1 hr. of operation I turned it off and noticed an oil leak. I called the store and they said that they would repair it. After a week I called them and they informed me that it would be ready the next week which was yesterday.I called and they said that the repairman came and checked it yesterday and had to order a part and it would be 3 or 4 days before it would be in. NO SATISFACTION FROM THE SEARS STORE IF DALLAS. THE REP THERE SAID THE WARANTY WAS UP TO THE STORE. WHAT DOES THE TERM SATISFACTON GUARANTEED MEAN IN THEIR ADVERTISING.

B/S Engines are all imports. I buy American when I can and that is why I have a Kohler and have no engine problems. My last B&S engine only lasted 7 years, and my snowblower with a Kohler is still running strong and it is a 1979 model.

Hard to find good service any more. Good luck with the Briggster.
