Jim : Bad news most all late model tractors have a PTO brake that prevents the pto from turning when NOT ENGAGED. By overriding this brake you fo
forced the pto backwards and just screwed the coupling off. Serious OPERATOR ERROR The fix can be fairly simple or rather co9mplicated . There is a support in the rear housing and depending on which side of this support you pto coupling fell will make all the difference in the repair. If it is in the back part one can remove the lift cover and make the repair if it fell in the front part requires splitting the tractor to make the repair, usually a 11 to 12 hundred dollar repair.
