First thing you do is take a test light and make sure you do not have power there on the third wire in run position. IF you do have the solenoid is bad, which is by far the most common problem. Next go to the ignition switch and pull the connector and look for power on the run wire. Red with white stripe (I think) if I remember right. Last of all will be wiring .
