I own an L35. You do NOT need to use the clutch when shifting the shuttle from forward to reverse(or back). You SHOULD 1.shift the shuttle to neutral, 2.reduce the RPM'S by releasing the foot throutle, and 3.pause before completing the shift, that prevents wear on the gearing. You do not need to come to a complete stop before making the shift- but that is not a bad idea.
