Smokin, I had a motorcycle once that was rated
at 65 hp. The bike that was 2 sizes larger
looked to have the same engine, but about 15
more hp. I found out all I had to do was change
the carb mounts, to the same mount used on the
larger bike and I would have the exact same
engine and hp. The carb mounts were like a
restricter plate, every thing was the same on
the two engines except mine had a smaller
port for the fuel to enter the engine. After I
changed the carb mounts (manifold) I had more
zip. So I agree with you.
