SD: yeah, what you say makes sense, knew there were discrepancies in the ratings, and that pto hp is lower since it's through the drive train. My point in the question is that our machines are probably always much more capable that we give them credit, and quite possibly a 50 hp and 70 hp machine may be putting out roughly the same working hp at a given task....these are things dealers are probably reluctant to mention to potential upgrading customers. ck
