am sure some of you can answer this for me. 1)is the factory rated hp on tractors rated at the flywheel, wheels, pulling, other? 2) what will the actual working hp be, say on a rated 50hp machine, while operating a brush hog or blade under moderate load @540 pto rated engine rpm? I understand it may be considerably lower than the max hp. I bring this up because many ind. (incl myself in the past, I'm okay now) feel the attraction to upgrade to a higher hp when actually, maybe 90% of the time, they are operating at a far lower hp rating on their present machines than the factory rating. Is this a valid reason for keeping what you have unless you're continually maxing it out? thanks ck
