Your description is short, but, I think I'm having the same problem on my B3200.

When I get off the seat the tractor shuts down even though the pedal appears to be in neutral.

Restarting is then difficult as you attempt to move the pedal ever so slightly to the "sweet spot" to try and get the pedal to engage. I've had fears that it was not going to start.

The dealer told me to look under the tractor, push the pedal to the forward position with my hand and locate an unpainted rod connected to the pedal linkage. There's a turnbuckle adjuster on the rod to adjust the neutral/shutoff mechanism. He stated that most tractors will require an adjustment toward reverse direction based on his experience.

My tractor is 3 hours from me and I haven'y attempted this fix yet.

Let me know if this makes any sense to you or if it solves the problem
