The older models have current to the valve while
running. You should have current on the valve
wire after it starts. If not, check the switch
to see why it doesn't have current. You could
move the wire to the run side of the switch on
a good terminal that goes off when the switch is turned off.
The newer models do not have current on the
valve all the time. I think it gets a shot of
current when it's turned on to pop the valve
into the correct position, then a shot of current to pop the valve back off when turned
off.
