Hi,
Your L3400 with (probably) a LA463 loader has "regenerative" hydraulics. That is, there is actually 4 positions for the bucket valve. They are (starting from the most left) rollback, hold, fast dump and slow dump. How that is accomplished is that in fast dump they send oil to both ends of the cylinder, this makes the cylinder effectively the size of the rod causing it to dump quickly. if you push the lever over past this position to the extreme right you will find oil only commes from one of the ports (and returns through the other). it makes blade angling a little more awkward but is quite doable!
