I bought a 1994 Kubota B7200, HST 4WD sub compact from an individual. I was of the impression from a dealer I had looked at prior that I could replace the turf tires with an industrial or ag tread. What I now find is that not only can I not find industrial or ag tread but I can't even replace the turf tread at any tire dealer I can find. The tires are 15" rear and 10" front and the local Kubota dealer tells me that if I can't find tires at a tire dealer he will sell me just the front for $500.
First, I can't see the point of manufacturing a four wheel drive machine and then relegating it to being a lawn mower by giving it a wheel that only accepts a turf tire. Second, I am outraged that a tractor as popular as the B7200 was cannot be fitted with something as simple as new rubber without going to Japan. It is hard to see myself spending $1,500 on tires for a $3,000 tractor.
Please help.
