Ok, the L2550 as I know is a 3 cylinder and L2850 may be a misprint as a 4 cylinder, it should also be 3 cylinder. Putting a 4 cylinder engine in a 3 cylinder tractor is like stuffing a V8 in a Honda. Is your engine not repairable?, I would try that route first. I think many 2550,2650,2800 series engines may fit as a 1402, the 1462 was in 2900,2950 etc. Talk to your dealer as they have cross references. Much easier to repair engine than trying to adapt another engine, or buying another one.
Not much information available other a good dealer to tell you what can replace what.
