In Reply to: Kubota L3400 Hydraulic Fluid Level? Off/on when viewing window? posted by Bryan at CeltinWood on Sunday, July 26, 2009:
Hey Bryan I just purchased a new L3400 Kubota and am currently going through same problem. When I fire my 3400 up the site glass reads one thing but as soon as I shut engine down the the fluid is gone. It turns out that my new Kubota was severely short on the transmission fluid. don't know why but after talking with 3 dealer service techs place the tractor on a level surface with all implements in the down position. Then look at the site glass and take a reading. For me I have had to add 4 quarts of fluid.
I should not of had to do so with a new 2009 L3400 but I am glad I caught all early.
Hope this helps.
