Can't say on the L2650, My L3000 has two drain
plugs down on the axle housings. Both are 12mm
bolt heads, Remove these to drain the rest of
the fluid from the axle area. Mine also has the
upper tranny drain as yours. My L3000 also holds
7.5 gal. I drained the upper tranny drain and
got some oil out, then drained the lower and got
the rest out. It's just my thinking, but seems
to me you could remove the axle drains and get
all the fluid out, without removing the tranny
drain plug. Hope this helps.
