Let my neighbor borrow my 2550 to move some dirt. When it came home, something was cooking. Strong smell like a burnt clutch. Let the tractor cool off, now, rattling sound comes from underneath the tractor when the clutch is fully released. Doesn't matter whether the tractor is in gear or in neutral. Sounds like a clock ticking, but gets progressively louder. I'm thinking he burnt the clutch out but could use some guidance. Are clutches hard to replace and is there a step by step guide on how to do it? Thanks in advance for input.
