Pam, a slipping clutch shouldn't have anything
to do with a engine dieing, and not starting
again. You are saying while pulling this hill
the engine died. It will not start again. Does
this mean the engine will not spin over to start. Or the engine spins over while using the
starter but wont start and run. You are getting
a lot of confusion going, that doesn't go together. The battery check would only be if the
engine wouldn't spin over with the starter.
I think the clutch thing should be dismissed
untill the engine is running again. If your
local Kubota dealer is suggesting a clutch
problem, for the engine not starting, I would
look for another dealer.
I think i'm getting confused also. Is this
tractor a gear drive or HST tranny? Have you
checked the engine oil to see if it's full or
could be very low and the engine lost it's
lube while on the hill, that would lock the
engine, which would make it die and not start.
