OK Pam, you have me confused. You first stated that your tractor "wouln't start after many attempts". What does that mean? Wouldn't go forward or would not run as in engine won't run. What does the battery have to do with your problem. Did your tractor not want to climp the hill because the cluth was slipping, or did your engine just quit running? You are going to have to be more clear for anyone to help.
