rj.....im not good at math either but you didnt compensate for the added fuel milage. you did it as if you didnt gain any milage(filling the tank every week with or without the pill)
if you drove 480 miles per week/tank at an average day of 68.6m per day at 24mpg at 3.50/gal per 9 year filling = 32850
(Math without pill)20gal*24mpg=480m per week 480m/7 days=68.8 a day. 365 days a year/every 7 day=52.14 fill ups a year*70$ a fill up=$3650 a year*9years=$32850
then if you were getting 540m with the pill at 27mgp still driving 68.6m per day you would fill about every 7.9 days. = 29563.38 every 9 years
(math with pill)20gal*27mpg=540m/68.6m a day=7.9 days to fill. 365 a year/7.9 days=46.2 fill ups*71.10 a fill up=$3284.82 a year*9 years=$29563.38
you would actually save about 3286.62 which means you actually saved enough money to fill your car for another year with $1.80 to spare. and thats only if your milage went up 24-27 which is only 3mpg. if it actually improved the 20% then you would get 4.8mpg more which is 60% more than 3mpg and 1972$ more money in your pocket
