L2550 Oil Pressure Idiot light

When my L2550 warms up, the oil pressure idiot light comes on. If I increase the RPM's, the oil pressure light will go out. The oil is clean and is full. I believe the sending unit is shot, however, to be on the safe side, I would like to put an oil pressure guage on. First question is how does one put an oil pressure gauge on a L2550. Second question is what should the oil pressure be?
