Thanks guys. It may not be a warranty issue. Perhaps something got under it the first time. I had ear muffs on and even though it changed sounds some I didnt realize what had happened until the smoke started boiling up. The belt was really tangled up under the idler and may have just bent the arm. I am gonna fuss at them anyway. The good news is after a $80 belt, $75 to get it put on then $360 for an idler arm ($46 part, $260 labor and the rest in taxes and shop screw factors) I am up and running and it has not come off any more. If it does it will be a John Deere in the time it takes me to get to town to trade it.
